Lamb Burger on ‘cauliflower steaks’

with red onion, mushrooms and pancetta

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. Cut the cauliflower in four, 1,5 cm slices. (Use what’s left for another dish). Place them on a baking tray, season with salt, pepper and thyme. Then sprinkle generously with olive oil and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes till they’re brown and cooked through. Cut the mushrooms and onions in slices and fry them for about 5 minutes. Fry or grill the burgers according to the instructions on the packaging and the pancetta in another frying pan. Serve the burgers on the ‘cauliflower steaks’ topped with pancetta, mushrooms and onions.


  • 2 medium organic cauliflowers
  • olive oil (for frying)
  • some sprigs of thyme
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 2 The Frozen Butcher Lamb Burgers
  • 100 g ‘pancetta’ slices (bacon)
  • salt and pepper
